Watching my kids use the iPad has given me a lot of great ideas for how I can make my own material more engaging for children, especially small kids who are ripe for second language acquisition. This is not completely polished yet, but it reflects many of the lessons I have learned. I'll be using this type of template for every single lesson in my kids section, and they should be live by August as once I perfect the template I can apply it to all of my existing lessons. It will be the first activity in every unit, so that the initial experience with the vocabulary one helps kids really get a feel for the words.
